This one is ebay # 4435770432

It looks like it's in great shape, but the shipping is way too high. (another profit center for the seller, but kind of lame)

Funny that in the many months I've been watching ebay, only 3 have shown up, and yet 2 are listed in the same week! One thing I have noticed, though - if there are 2 similar items for sale, the second one often goes for more, regardless of its condition. It's odd, but it just happened again with triple pots a few days ago...

I've placed a bid on that second insert... What the heck. Yes, shipping is high, but if my bid gets it, I'll ask them if there are lower priced alternatives.

Oh well, I was outbid on the double boiler insert. I'm going to try on the other one, hopefully I'll have luck on that one.

My wife and kids along with in-laws from the Phillipines have a love of leche flan and other pudding like desserts (some are described in the Idle Hour Cookbook) that are best prepared in the double boiler. Obtaining a double boiler was a way to build support for Opal (my BZ) with a sometimes skeptical spouse. Sorry that we ended up bidding against one another Treatmaker.
